Mykola Tomenko: The Criminal Liability for Electric Current Use during the Fishing is implemented
Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine briefed that today officially came into force the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Matters of Hunting and Fishing Sectors and Animal World Protection" adopted by the Parliament on 21 January 2010.
M. Tomenko pointed out the attention on the fact that the norms and amendments, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, came into force, pursuant to which the criminal liability for the illegal electric current, chemical substances use during fishing is strengthened.
Giving comments concerning this norms implementation, M. Tomenko emphasized that poaching in last year became almost uncontrolled and the People´s Deputies were simply obliged to react adequately on it that is adopt a relevant legislative act.
The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine became an initiator of the criminal liability strengthening for the illegal fishing and was supported by numerous public fishing organizations.
"It is necessary to protect our water basins from the destruction thought the illegal fishing", - M. Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
